Less than 0.1% of adults in the UK have gone through a structured learning experience or certificate course in Public Speaking! This means that you are making history and you should be proud of yourself. The purpose of this simple Welcome e-Pack is to help you prepare for the course.

Get Enough Rest
The most important item to bring for this iconic learning experience is a refreshed you! The truth is a tired body or fatigued mind is of no use in a learning environment. Please ensure that the day(s) leading to the commencement of the programme, and especially the night before, that you get enough rest and go to bed early.

No Phones Allowed
In order to ensure that we have no distractions, mobile phones are not allowed into the room where we shall be conducting the course. Please ensure that you do not bring any phone to the course.

Arrive Early!
All course participants must be seated five minutes before the course starts.

Parking and Transportation
Venue: Tricorn House, 51 - 53 Hagley Road, Birmingham B16 8TP. Discounted All-day Parking is available for just £3 at Broadway Plaza, which is next door to the venue. Click here to obtain the QR Code for the £3 All-day Discount Rate. Please do not wait till the last minute to download this code.
Parking is also available at Morrisons, which is right across the road (Hagley Road). However, Morrisons is FREE for the first 2 hours and £7 for up to 6 hours.
The bus-stop and tram stop are directly in front of the building. Thus you might prefer not to drive!

Your First Set of Presentations
Prepare to give a 2-minute presentation about yourself. You can choose what aspects of yourself you want to speak about. For your second presentation, be prepared to give a wholesome and informative presentation about your brand, company, institution, profession or organisation. The duration of the second presentation shall be 3 minutes.

Identifying your personality type and understanding your personality traits, are the first steps in understanding what learning methods best suit you. They are also the first steps in helping you build confidence, overcome stage-fright and develop your public speaking skills. Please click here to take the test.
