Building Confidence; Building Character; Perfecting the Art of Public Speaking
Public Speaking is a skill that our children will need for a lifetime. As teenagers (or pre-teens), they will soon have to start presenting their assignments in class and even give presentations as part of their finals! As part of the "Tell and Share Project", Public Speaking For Teens (ages 11 - 16) is an enriched learning experiences which will build your child's confidence and equip your child to speak confidently with clarity, charisma and precision. From overcoming stage-fright to maintaining meaningful eye-contact with the audience, and from speech preparation and delivery to seamlessly taking questions from the audience, this hands-on coaching programme is designed to nurture confidence, clarity, and courage — helping young minds to speak up and stand out.

Curriculum
It is the desire of every parent for their child to have world-class education. Our goal is to coach your child to become a world-class Communicator and respected Speaker. Therefore, regardless of the age group your child belongs to, the primary areas of focus and core syllabus for the 6-month course shall include:
Overcoming Stage-fright and the nervousness that comes with giving a presentation
Daily Habits for Confidence-Building
The 3V's of Communication - Verbal (the words you say), Vocal (how you say it - volume, pitch, pace, inflection), Visual (body language, posture, facial expressions, gesture)
Enriching Your Vocabulary
How To Prepare Your Speech and Organise Your Thoughts
Improving Presentation Skills
Attaining Presentation Mastery and Speaking Convincingly
Perfecting the Art of Answering Questions and Handling Objections Gracefully

Coaching Approach
Hands-on coaching is the approach we are adopting. With exciting roleplays, engaging group exercises, fun-filled tutorials and real-life presentation trials, your child will have a wholesome learning experience. Click on the relevant age group to find out more.
Public Speaking For Teens (11 - 16 years old)
Presentation Trials - Encourage them to prepare and deliver short convincing speeches on topics they are passionate about, fostering critical thinking.
Audio-Visual Tutorials and Exercises
Vocabulary Expansion - Learning new English words every week. In addition to being habitual, one of the leading reason why people frequently say "Ummm" (which cannot be found in any dictionary) is because of poor vocabular. Simply put, you cannot give what you do not have! On a weekly basis, participants will learn new words with proper pronunciation, how to spell them, the meaning of those words and illustrate proper application of those words.
Overcoming Stage-Fright - Proven tips and techniques for overcoming the nervousness, anxiety and pre-speech tension that comes with addressing an audience.
Speech Workouts - individual and group exercises that focus on integral components of vocal delivery, such as volume, tone, tempo and inflection.
Mock Interviews - Simulated job and college interviews to help them practice how to seamlessly articulate their ideas, insights and illustrations.
An Introduction to Business Correspondence Etiquette and Corporate Manners
Podcasting Project - Creating a short podcast about topics and issues they love.
Q&A Segments - Learning how to invite questions from the audience and answer them with competence and charisma.
Assessment & Feedback - In addition to the assessment given by the Lead Facilitator, participants to receive feedback from their peers.

The median age of the participants is 14 years old. This means that the average participant of this programme has lived for a minimum of 122,304 hours. In order for a child to have a truly transformative learning experience, that child would need more than a half-day workshop. A "quickie" of a course will never result in transformation! We are committed to the children experiencing change, skills and competence that will live with them for a lifetime. Hence, the priceless value of having a 6-month learning experience.

And because we are approaching this as a Community Project, we made it affordable!

Considering the going rate for voice and musical instrument training in Birmingham, which is £36 per hour (click here to verify), our fees are a king-sized bargain! It works out to be just £12.50 a week. You enjoy a discount when you register more than one child.

Mode of Payment
We do not charge any sign-up or admin fee. However, the first month fee (or instalment) is immediately due upon registration and non-refundable. Subsequent months are to be paid via Direct Debit.
